Team Notes: Quinnipiac Hosts Brown and Yale

The Quinnipiac University women’s ice hockey team will
play ECAC Hockey foes Brown and Yale for this first time this
season on Jan. 30-31. The Bobcats will face the Bears on Friday
night at 7 p.m., and the Bulldogs on Saturday at 4 p.m. In its most
recent game, Quinnipiac fell to Princeton, 2-1, on Tuesday night at
the TD Banknorth Sports Center.
Scouting the Bears
Brown is 3-16-1 overall this season with a 2-11-0 record in ECAC
Hockey play. In the Bears’ last game, they were defeated,
6-0, by Cornell on Jan. 24. Junior forward Andrea Hunger leads
Brown with 4 goals and 6 assists. Senior goaltender Nicole Stock
has played in 20 games for the Bears, posting a .909 save
percentage. Stock ranks second in the ECAC in saves with 718 this
season.
Scouting the Bulldogs
Yale is 8-12-1 this season overall and 4-9-0 in the ECAC.
Most recently, the Bulldogs lost, 3-0, to Colgate on Jan. 24.
Senior forward Crysti Howser leads Yale with 12 goals and 8
assists. Goaltenders Jackee Snikeris and Genny Ladiges have split
time in net this season. Snikeris posts a .923 save percentage and
a 5-5-0 record, while Ladiges has a .902 percentage with a 3-7-0
record.
