Team Notes: Bobcats Closes Out Season at Brown And Yale

The Quinnipiac University women’s ice hockey team
concludes the 2008-09 season this weekend as they take on
conference foes Yale and Brown. The Bobcats take on the Bulldogs
Friday night at 7 p.m., and will face the Bears Saturday afternoon
at 4 p.m. In its most recent game, Quinnipiac was defeated by
Clarkson, 2-0, on Feb. 14.
Scouting The Bulldogs
Yale is 11-15-1 this season overall and 7-12-1 in ECAC Hockey.
Finishing in the lower fourth of the ECAC standings, the Bulldogs
have been eliminated from the postseason play. Senior forward
Crysti Howser leads Yale with 13 goals and 12 assists. Goaltenders
Jackee Snikeris and Genny Ladiges have split time in net this
season for the Bulldogs. Ladiges has played in 15 games, has a
4-9-0 record, and posts a .906 save percentage. Snikeris has
appeared in 13 games, has a 7-5-1 record, and posts a .933 save
percentage. Snikeris is ranked second in ECAC Hockey in
goals-against average (1.70) and ranks third in save percentage
(.933).
Scouting The Bears
Brown is 6-20-1 overall this season and 5-15-0 in conference play.
Brown will also finish in the lower fourth of the conference and
have been eliminated from the tournament. Junior forward Andrea
Hunter leads the Bears with five goals and eight assists. Senior
goaltender Nicole Stock has started all 27 games for Brown, posting
a .919 save percentage. Stock ranks second in the ECAC in saves
with 944.
