Team Notes: Quinnipiac Battles Harvard, Dartmouth

The Quinnipiac University women's ice hockey team will hit the road this weekend to take on Harvard and Dartmouth in continued ECAC Hockey action. The Bobcats will make their first stop in Cambridge, Mass. on Friday to take on the eighth-ranked Crimson at 7 p.m., and then travel to Hanover, N.H. on Saturday to face off against the Big Green at 4 p.m. In its last outing, Quinnipiac defeated Yale, 2-1, on Nov. 7.
Scouting the Crimson
The eighth-ranked Harvard currently posts a 2-2-0 record
overall and in ECAC action, most recently defeating St. Lawrence,
3-0, on Nov. 7. The Crimson are collectively led by junior forward
Katharine Chute, and freshman forward Kaitlin Spurling as each
player has tallied one goal and three assists this season. Senior
goaltender Christina Kessler has started all four games between the
pipes for Harvard, posting a .924 save percentage and a 1.77
goals-against average.
Scouting the Big Green
Dartmouth holds a 1-2-1 overall and conference record on
the year, most recently falling to No. 2- ranked Clarkson, 3-1, on
Nov. 7. Junior forward Amanda Trunzo and senior forward Sarah
Parsons lead the team with five points each. Trunzo has scored four
goals and added one assist, while Parsons has recorded one goal and
four assists this season. Senior goaltender Mariel Lacina has
played four games this season, posting a .900 save percentage and a
2.59 goals-against average.
