Team Notes: Bobcats Travel to RPI and Union

The Quinnipiac University women's ice hockey team continues conference play action this weekend as they travel to Union and RPI. The Bobcats hosted the Dutchwomen and the Engineers in early December, falling to RPI, 2-1, and defeating Union, 4-1. Quinnipiac will face Union Friday night at 7 p.m., and then square off against RPI Saturday afternoon at 4 p.m. Most recently, the Bobcats lost to Harvard 3-1 on Jan. 3.
Scouting the Dutchwomen
Union is 2-16-2 this season overall and 0-8-0 in ECAC
Hockey action. In their last game, the Dutchwomen tied the
University of Maine, 2-2. Junior defender Jackie Koetteritz leads
Union with four goals and three assists. Senior forward Suzy Pocock
is ranked second in points with four goals and two assists. Senior
goaltender Lundy Day has seen action in 20 games for the
Dutchwomen, posting a .902 save percentage. Day leads the ECAC in
saves with 688.
Scouting the Engineers
RPI holds a record of 11-6-2 this season overall and is
6-1-1 in conference play. Most recently, the Engineers travelled to
St. Cloud, Minn. to play in the St. Cloud State Tournament on Jan.
2-3. RPI lost to North Dakota, 3-2, on Jan. 2 and defeated St.
Cloud State, 2-0, on Jan. 3. Junior forward Whitney Naslund leads
the Engineers with seven goals and nine assists. Rookie stand-out
Alisa Harrington is right behind Naslund in points with six goals
and nine assists. Sophomore goaltender Sonja van der Bliek has
played in 17 games for RPI and posts a .923 save percentage.
