Team Notes: Bobcats Return to Action

The Quinnipiac University women’s ice hockey team returns
to action this weekend after a three-week break. The Bobcats travel
to face ECAC opponents Dartmouth and Harvard on Friday and
Saturday. The Bobcats play the Big Green in the first game of the
weekend at 7 p.m. and then face the Crimson Saturday afternoon at 4
p.m. In Quinnipiac’s last game, the Bobcats defeated Union
4-0 on Dec. 6.
Scouting the Big Green
Dartmouth is 7-3-1 this season overall and 6-2-1 in ECAC Hockey
action. In the Big Green’s last game on Dec. 30, they
defeated Vermont 4-1. Senior forward Maggie Kennedy leads Dartmouth
with seven goals and 10 assists this season. Junior forward Jenna
Cunningham is right on her heels with five goals and 11 assists.
Senior goaltender Carli Clemis has played in 11 games for the team,
ranking second in the ECAC as she posts a .935 save percentage.
Scouting the Crimson
Harvard is 5-5-3 this season overall and 5-2-2 in conference play.
Most recently, the Crimson defeated Dartmouth, 3-2, on Dec. 17.
Senior forward Sarah Vaillancort leads Harvard with six goals and
ten assists. Vaillancourt did not play in the Oct. 31 match-up
against the Bobcats as she was playing for Team Canada at the Four
Nations Cup in Lake Placid, N.Y. Junior goaltender Christina
Kessler has played in 12 games for Harvard, posting a .913 save
percentage.
