Team Notes: Bobcats vs. Bulldogs at Nutmeg Classic

The Quinnipiac University women’s ice hockey team will
travel to Storrs, Conn. to take part in the annual Nutmeg Classic
tournament hosted by the University of Connecticut. The Bobcats
will face Yale on Friday at 7 p.m. In their last game, Quinnipiac
fell to No. 4 St. Lawrence, 2-0.
Nutmeg Classic
The Nutmeg Classic tournament is held every year for the three
Division I women’s ice hockey programs in Connecticut
(Quinnipiac, UConn and Yale). Each year, the fourth team that
participates in the tournament is invited from out of state. This
year’s invitee is the Wayne State University Warriors from
Detroit, Michigan.
Nutmeg Classic Schedule
On Friday, tournament-host UConn and Wayne State will face off at
4 p.m. The winners of that game will play the winner of the game
between Quinnipiac and Yale game in the championship game at 7 p.m.
on Saturday. The two losing teams will play in the consolation game
Saturday at 4 p.m.
