Team Notes: Bobcats Bound for Boston

The Quinnipiac University women’s ice hockey team travels
to Boston this weekend to take on Hockey East’s Northeastern
University and Boston College on Saturday and Sunday. Both games
are scheduled to start at 2 p.m.
Scouting the Huskies
Northeastern is currently ranked first in Hockey East this season
with a conference record of 2-0. The Huskies most recently defeated
University of Connecticut on Sunday, 3-0. Sophomore forward Kristi
Kehoe leads Northeastern with six goals and one assist this season.
Goaltenders Florence Schelling and Leah Sulyma have split time
between the pipes, each with a record of two wins and one tie.
Schelling posts a .982 save percentage, while Sulyma has a .976
save percentage. Northeastern has been a regular in
Quinnipiac’s schedule for the past eight seasons. The Bobcats
have a 3-6-2 record against the Huskies, going 3-1 over the past
four meetings.
Scouting the Eagles
Boston College is sixth in Hockey East this season with a 0-0-1
conference mark this season. Most recently the Eagles defeated
Rensselaer, 5-2, on Saturday, Oct. 11. Junior forward Kelli Stack
leads the Eagles with five goals and three assists. Goaltender
Molly Schaus has two wins this season and posts a .932 save
percentage. Boston College has also been a regular opponent for
Quinnipiac over the last eight seasons. In that span the Bobcats
have taken two wins from the Eagles.
