Team Notes: Quinnipiac Hosts North Country Duo

The Quinnipiac University women’s ice hockey team faces
ECAC opponents Clarkson and St. Lawrence this weekend. The Bobcats
take on the Golden Knights, Head Coach Rick Seeley’s former
team, Friday at 7 p.m. and the Saints Saturday at 4 p.m. In
Quinnipiac’s most recent game, the Bobcats fell 5-1 to Boston
University.
Scouting the Golden Knights
Clarkson is 4-5-3 this season overall and 2-1-1 in ECAC Hockey
play. In the Golden Knights’ most recent game, they tied
Dartmouth, 2-2, on Nov. 15. Senior right wing Marie-Jo Gaudet leads
Clarkson with eight goals and nine assists. Sophomore goaltenders
Laura Dahm and Eve Grandmont-Berube have split time in goal for the
Golden Knights this season. Dahm has appeared in eight games and
posts a .945 save percentage, while Grandmont-Berube has seen
action in five games and has a .881 save percentage.
Scouting the Saints
St. Lawrence is 7-1-2 this season overall and 4-0-0 in conference
play. The Saints currently rank fourth in the USCHO.com national
poll. St. Lawrence is currently riding a six-game winning streak;
the most recent was a 3-1 victory over Harvard. Junior forward Tara
Akstull leads the Saints with five goals and seven assists. Second
on the team is senior forward Carson Duggan with eight goals and
three assists. Junior goaltender Brittony Chartier has played every
minute in the 10 games for St. Lawrence and posts a .937 save
percentage.
