Quinnipiac Names Tri-Captains

HAMDEN, Conn. -- Quinnipiac head coach Rick Seeley has announced
the captains for the 2008-09 season. Trudy Reyns (Port Hope,
Ontario), Elyse Cole (Belleville, Ontario) and Evelina Husar
(Eskilstuna, Sweden) will lead the Bobcats this season.
Senior defender Reyns will wear the “C” for the second
consecutive season. Reyns suited up for all 34 games last season
and ranked second on the team in points tallying five goals and 11
assists. Senior forward Cole led the team last year in goals with
13 and added seven assists and was named Team MVP and Best
Offensive Player in the 2007-08 season. Junior defender Husar
dressed for all 34 games as well and had one assist.
“I am proud to introduce our three captains, Trudy Reyns,
Elyse Cole and Evelina Husar,” said Seeley. “They give
us a great balance, each adding unique leadership qualities to the
mix. Having junior Evelina Husar will help make a smooth transition
into next year’s leaders. Overall, we are very pleased with
how our captains have stepped up.”
