Team Notes: Bobcats Prepare to Face Syracuse

The Quinnipiac University women’s ice hockey team hosts Syracuse University this weekend at the TD Banknorth Center on Friday, Oct. 17 and Saturday Oct. 18. The Bobcats (0-4) and Syracuse (0-5) play at 5 p.m. on Friday and 2 p.m. on Saturday.

Scouting The Orange
This is the inaugural season for Syracuse women’s ice hockey team. The Orange are 0-5 this season, most recently losing to Robert Morris, 3-2, on Oct. 11. Freshman forward Megan Skelly leads Syracuse with two goals and two assists. Goaltender Lucy Schoedel has started all five games for the Orange and posts a .899 save percentage.

Janine The Scoring Machine
Junior forward Janine Duffy (Toronto, Ontario) leads the Bobcats in goals (3) this season. Duffy scored twice in the second game of the weekend against St. Cloud State on Saturday, Oct. 4. Through four games played Duffy has more than half of her total goal output from last season.
