Team Notes: Quinnipiac Hosts Hockey East Foes

The Quinnipiac University women’s ice hockey team will
host Hockey East opponents the University of Vermont and Boston
University this weekend. The Bobcats face the Catamounts on Friday
at 7 p.m., and the Terriers Saturday at 4 p.m. Quinnipiac most
recently tied the Cornell University Big Red on Saturday, Nov. 8,
2-2.
Scouting the Catamounts
Vermont is 2-8-0 this season and 0-4-0 in Hockey East.
The Catamounts most recently lost a two-game series to Wayne State
last weekend, 5-3 on Friday and 7-0 on Saturday. Three Catamounts
have tallied six points so far this season. Erin Barley-Maloney has
four goals and two assists, Teddy Fortin has two goals and four
assists, while Peggy Wakeham has one goal and five assists. Junior
goaltender Kristen Olychuk has started eight games in net for
Vermont and posts a .821 save percentage.
Scouting the Terriers
Boston University is 6-2-3 this season with a 2-0-2 record in
Hockey East. In the Terriers’ most recent game, they tied
Providence, 3-3, on Saturday, Nov. 1. Senior forward Gina Kearns
leads the Terriers with five goals and six assists. Junior forward
Melissa Anderson is second on the team in scoring with two goals
and eight assists. Senior goaltender Allyse Wilcox has started
seven games for BU and posts a .924 save percentage.
