Team Notes: Quinnipiac Prepares for Colgate and Cornell

The Quinnipiac University women’s ice hockey team plays
host to ECAC Hockey opponents Colgate and Cornell this weekend. The
Bobcats face the Raiders on Friday at 7 p.m., and the Big Red
Saturday at 4 p.m. Quinnipiac has yet to register a win on the road
this season.
Scouting the Raiders
Colgate is 5-4-0 this season and has not yet faced an ECAC
opponent. They most recently split a weekend series with Mercyhurst
on Oct. 31 and Nov. 1, winning the game on Friday, 4-3, and losing
Saturday in overtime, 4-3. Senior defender Kiira Dosdall leads the
Raiders with two goals and 10 assists while sophomore forward
Hannah Milan is right behind her with five goals and five assists.
Goaltenders Kimberly Sass and Lisa Plenderlith have split time in
goal this season. Plenderlith has played in six games and posts a
.875 save percentage, while Sass has played in three games and has
a .933 save percentage.
Scouting the Big Red
Cornell is 2-1 so far this season and will face its first ECAC
opponent in Princeton on Friday night. The Big Red most recently
lost to Robert Morris on Nov. 1, 2-1. Sophomore forward Rebecca
Johnston leads Cornell in points with two goals and six assists.
Junior goaltender Jenny Niesluchowski has started two games for the
Big Red and posts a .927 save percentage.
