Mirasolo Joins Princeton Coaching Staff
PRINCETON -- Princeton head women's hockey coach Jeff Kampersal
has announced that Lee-J Mirasolo has joined his coaching staff as
an assistant coach. Mirasolo joins the coaching staff at Princeton
after two seasons on the staff at UMass Boston and played at Boston
College.
"Lee-J has a strong work ethic and a great personality," says
Kampersal. "To play hockey at Boston College was a privilege for
Lee-J. She never missed a game and was relentless in her
pursuit to get better each day. We are looking for Lee-J share her
leadership, playing abilities, and coaching experiences from
UMass-Boston with our players. We are happy that she is now a
Tiger."
Mirasolo played her college hockey at Boston College, where she
was a part of two Beanpot Championships, made two NCAA tournament
appearances and advanced to the Frozen Four in 2007. She was named
the Eagles team captain for the 2007-08 campaign and was also
honored that season as BC's Unsung Hero while receiving the team's
Community Service Award in 2005-06.
"This is truly an amazing opportunity at such an outstanding
institution," says Mirasolo. "I am really looking forward to
working with Coach Kampersal, Coach Morey, the athletic
administration and the student-athletes. I feel extremely fortunate
to be at Princeton and I am excited to be a part of this great
community."
Prior to joining the Beacons staff, Mirasolo served as an
assistant ice hockey coach at Phillips Andover Academy during the
2009-10 season. Over the summer of 2010, Mirasolo acted as an
Intern Coach at the U14 USA National Camp in Rochester, N.Y. She
also served as the strength and conditioning coach for Emerson
College's softball team during the 2008-09 campaign.
A native of Wakefield, Mass., Mirasolo graduated with a BA in
Communications in 2008.
