Team Notes: Princeton Closes Regular Season at Home
The following article appeared February 18 on the Princeton Web site.
PRINCETON - The Princeton women's hockey team closes out the
regular season this weekend with its sights still set on home ice
for the ECAC playoffs. Princeton sits two points out of a home ice
playoff spot with two games left to play.
Princeton did not allow a goal last weekend in sweeping Clarkson
and St. Lawrence at home and keeping itself in the race for a
top-four finish and home ice in the opening round of the playoffs.
Princeton currently sits in sixth place and trails a third-place
tie between Harvard and Rensselaer by two points. Fifth-place
Quinnipiac sits between the Tigers and the third-place tie.
Should any ties exist following the weekend, Princeton owns the
head-to-head tiebreakers against Harvard and Quinnipiac. Princeton
and RPI skated to a pair of ties. The next tiebreaker is total
wins, followed by record against the top-four finishers.
