PRINCETON - The Princeton women's hockey returns to Baker Rink
this weekend to open a regular-season ending four-game homestand
this weekend against two teams ahead in the standings, first-place
Clarkson and fourth-place St. Lawrence.
Princeton entered last weekend tied for third in the ECAC
standings but losses at Colgate and Cornell dropped the Tigers to
sixth in the league standings with four league games left before
the postseason begins.
The Tigers opened last weekend by dropping a one-goal decision at
Colgate. The Raiders never trailed in the game and built their lead
to as many as two goals twice before Princeton closed the gap late.
Danielle DiCesare sparked the Tiger offense in the game with a hand
in all three goals, scoring one and assisting on the others.
Melanie Wallace and Stephanie Denino provided the other goals and
Wallace joined DiCesare with multiple points, also adding an assist
on the final goal. A day later, the Tigers fell behind Cornell
midway through the first and the Big Red widened the gap in each
following period on its way to a 6-0 triumph.
