PRINCETON - The Princeton women's hockey visits Colgate and Cornell this weekend as it looks to solidify its hold on home ice for the first round of the ECAC playoffs with six regular season games remaining. The Tigers currently sit tied for third with Harvard and Rensselaer.

Princeton returned to the ice last weekend following a three-week layoff for final exams and recorded its third-straight three-point league weekend by defeating Union and tying Rensselaer. Princeton's run has helped the Tigers climb into the top-third of the league standings, as the Tigers are 3-0-3 in their last six league games.

The Tigers started last weekend with a 3-0 shutout at Union, scoring twice on the power play. Melanie Wallace scored the opening goal of the game and Corey Stearns had a hand in all three goals as she had the first assist on Wallace's tally and then scored the next two. A day later, Stearns again had an assist, this time chipping the puck up-ice to Alex Kinney, who scored Princeton's lone goal in the 1-1 tie. Rachel Weber played back-to-back games in the Tiger goal and she stopped 41 of the 42 shots she faced to raise her save percentage to .912 and lower her goals against to 1.72.
