The 10th-ranked Princeton women’s hockey team travels to
the Capital District of New York this weekend looking to enter the
exam break on a high note against Rensselaer and Union. Princeton
broke into the Top 10 for the first time all year with last
weekend’s sweep at Harvard and Dartmouth.
Princeton has come on over the last few months, going 7-3-1 in its
last 11 games with three wins over ranked teams, downing St.
Lawrence, Minnesota-Duluth and Dartmouth in the span. The Tigers
moved a game over .500 on the season with the win Sunday at
Dartmouth and are also one game over .500 in league play at
6-5-0.
Last weekend the Tigers picked up its first sweep of the
Harvard/Dartmouth travel pair on the road, although the two have
only been travel partners since the 2005-06 season. Princeton last
beat both teams on the road in the 1993-94 campaign and last swept
the pair overall at home late in the 2005-06 season.
