PRINCETON -- The Princeton women's hockey team travels to Yale
and Brown for a pair of ECAC and Ivy League games this weekend.
Princeton opened the league season last weekend with a win and a
tie at home.
Princeton skated to a 2-2 tie with Rensselaer last Friday night to
open the league campaign and got its first league win the following
afternoon with a 6-3 triumph over Union. Princeton led for all but
3:15 over the weekend in taking three of four league points.
On Friday against RPI, freshman Kelly Cooke opened the scoring in
the early going. After RPI drew even, senior defenseman Maddie
Endicott gave Princeton a 2-1 lead on the power play, but the
Engineers quickly countered with a power-play goal of their own to
even the game at 2-2. That was it for the offense in the game as
the teams' defense and goaltending took over from there to stymie
both offenses. Freshman Cassie Seguin made 19 saves in the tie.
