VANCOUVER, B.C. — What could be the last Olympics
hockey game in the illustrious career of Angela Ruggiero of the
United States could also be a first for her father.
Ruggiero, 30, who plays defense and has been a member of all four
U.S. women's hockey teams, has done just about all there is,
winning gold in 1998, silver in 2002 and bronze in 2006.
What she has never done is play a game in the Olympics with her
father, Bill — who got her started in the sport as a 7-year
old — in the stands.
