Holla! I write to you from the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colorado. My teammates and I are getting fired up for our trip to Vancouver, and this is the last stop before we head out hunting for GOLD. There is plenty of work to do, and not all of it is as arduous as the team off-ice Olympics.

I should add for those wondering, the grand prize for Team Blue's rout of a victory was a gift certificate to a swanky dinner in downtown Colorado Springs! Suhweet! Methinks I am on a collision course with a savory steak dinner.

In my haste to cover all the angles of the off-ice Games, I forgot to include the next most important part of that day. After the training session that wouldn't end, nine of us traveled across town to the University Avenue Elementary School in Blaine, Minn. I am not sure how this all got started, or who thought we were the right people for the job, but we were invited to teach four first-grade classes as a part of the Junior Achievement program.
