Jennifer Botterill is preparing for what could be the most
rewarding natural hat trick of her hockey career.
In just under one year's time, the 2010 Olympics will open in
Vancouver and Whistler, B.C. and Botterill will be pursuing her
third consecutive gold medal with Canada's national women's hockey
team.
"My parents (Cal and Doreen) took my brother (Jason) and I to
watch the 1988 Olympics in Calgary," Botterill said yesterday
during a visit to her hometown for Countdown Celebration Week.
"When Vancouver got the announcement that the Olympics would be
there, it seemed so far away but now it's only a year away and
that's what I'm training for. I want to be on that team, I want to
be in the gold-medal game and we want to win that game.
