Team Notes: Harvard Seeks 13th Beanpot Title

The Harvard women’s hockey team will look to capture its
13th Beanpot when it skates against No. 7 Boston College Tuesday
evening. The Crimson and Eagles have combined to win the last 10
Beanpots.
Harvard enters the week on a seven-game win streak and sits in
third in the ECAC Hockey standings with 26 points.
Series History
Harvard leads the all-time series against Boston College by a
35-8-0 margin. The Crimson has won 22 of the last 25 meetings. The
teams last faced each other Jan. 8, 2008, with Harvard emerging
with a 7-0 victory at Bright Hockey Center. Caitlin Cahow
’07-08 netted a hat trick and Jenny Brine scored a goal and
added three assists. Christina Kessler made 22 saves in net.
The Crimson and Eagles have met 18 times in the Beanpot, with
Harvard winning 14 of those contests. The teams last met in the
annual tournament in the first round in 2007, as Boston College
took a 4-3 victory in three overtimes.
