Harvard Announces Incoming Class
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The Harvard women’s hockey team
has announced its incoming class that will join the Crimson for the
upcoming 2009-10 season. The group consists of seven players,:
three forwards, three defenders and one goaltender who replace a
graduating class of seven.
The 2009-10 Harvard roster will have 24 players: 12 forwards, nine
defensemen and three goaltenders. Last season, the Crimson repeated
as Ivy League and ECAC Hockey regular-season champion, posting a
19-10-3 overall record.
Laura Bellamy, Goaltender, Duluth, Minn./Duluth
Denfield
Named Senior Goalie of the Year and All-Area Player of the
Year in 2009 ... Two-time all-state selection ... All-Lake Superior
Conference first team in 2008-09 ... All-Conference second team
from 2004-07 ... Named Rookie of the Year in 2004 ... Wendy’s
High School Heisman national finalist in 2008.
Margaret Chute, Forward, Wayzata, Minn./The Blake
School
Ms. Hockey top five finalist in 2009 ... Member of the
state championship team in hockey in 2007 and 2009 ... Named
all-state in hockey junior and senior seasons and all-conference
three times... Sister, Katharine ’11, is also member of the
Harvard women’s hockey team ... Played with Katharine Chute
and Hillary Hayssen ’13 at The Blake School.

lacrosse state championship team in 2008 ... Played high school
hockey at The Blake School with Harvard teammates Katharine
’11 and Margaret Chute ’13.

Captain of the Mid Fairfield Connecticut Stars which took
silver in 2005 and bronze in 2008 and 2009 at the USA Hockey
Nationals ... Team MVP in hockey junior and senior years ... Led
team to New England championship in 2007 and Founder’s League
title in 2008 ... Attended Selected U-17/18 camp in Lake Placid,
N.Y., in 2007.

Ms. Hockey top five finalist in 2009 ... Participated in
