Team Notes: Harvard Hosts Rivals Yale, Brown; Celebrates 30 Years of Hockey

After a month on the road, the Harvard women’s hockey team
returns to Bright Hockey Center to host ECAC Hockey and Ivy League
rivals Yale and Brown. The Crimson is riding a five-game win streak
into the weekend and sits third in the ECAC Hockey standings with
22 points.
Series History
Harvard leads the all-time series against Yale, posting a 56-8-2
record against the Bulldogs dating back to the first meeting
between the schools in 1978-79. The Crimson has won the last seven
games against the Bulldogs, including a 1-0 victory back on Jan. 10
in New Haven, Conn. Kathryn Farni’s unassisted short-handed
goal provided all of the offense.
Saturday’s contest will be the 69th meeting between Harvard
and Brown that also goes back to the 1978-79 season. The Crimson
has emerged with victories in its last six games against the Bears
after defeating Brown, 5-3, on Jan. 9. Sarah Vaillancourt scored a
hat trick and Sarah Wilson chipped in with a goal and two assists.
