Veterans Guide Rookies

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -- With the 2008 IIHF Women's World Championship looming in Harbin, China, the U.S. Women's National Team training camp participants are fighting for roster spots and personal bests in what most would imagine a tense situation.

Veterans and camp rookies alike are bucking that notion at the camp in Colorado Springs, Colo., and choosing to use jokes and team humor to keep the camp on track to name the best possible combination for Team USA.

"I know we're all competing for spots, but at the end of the day we're all part of the Team USA program," said Team USA alumnae Julie Chu. "We have a good team balance with (joking around)."
