Crimson head coach Katey Stone is one of three head coaches
overseeing the training camp, which serves as a tryout and training
session for the U.S. Women's National Team and U.S. Women's
National Under-18 Team, both of which participate in world
championships in the early part of 2009.
With a 10-member coaching staff on hand, the athletes will be
split into three teams for daily practices, strength training and
scrimmages. In addition, 21 players will be vying for 20 spots on
the U.S. Women’s National Under-18 Team that will be
defending its world title at the 2009 International Ice Hockey
Federation World Women’s Under-18 Championship in Fussen,
Germany, from January 5-10.
