Kessler Backstops Canada to Victory
PIERREFONDS, Que. -- Harvard junior Christina Kessler and Canada defeated Team USA, two games to one, at the 2008 Women's Under-22 Series. Kessler made 40 saves in two contests, including 28 in game two, as she earned one of Canada's two wins in the tournament.
Kessler helped Canada to a 7-2 victory in the second game and then started game three, which Canada eventually won in overtime, 4-3.
Fellow Harvard junior Anna McDonald recorded an assist in the second period of game two for Team USA, while another Harvard junior, Cori Bassett, also saw action for the Americans.
