Vaillancourt's Exploits Garner National Recognition
Harvard junior forward Sarah Vaillancourt was named the USCHO Offensive Player of the Week for her efforts in leading Harvard to three victories last week. It marks the second consecutive week an ECAC Hockey Player has earned the honor. Clarkson's Britney Selina won the award January 8.
Vaillancourt tallied five assists in a 7-0 victory over Boston College last week, and added a goal and an assist in helping Harvard beating Clarkson as well. The Crimson also beat St. Lawrence 2-0 for a 3-0 week. With a +6 rating on the week and +19 for the season, the native of Sherbrooke, Que. leads the Crimson in goals (10), assists (23) and points (33) in 16 games played; her helper total is also good for second in the nation.
