Bassett, McDonald Named to Under-22 Team
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -- Harvard juniors Cori Bassett (Anchorage, Alaska) and Anna McDonald (New Brighton, Minn.) are two of 22 players who have been named by USA Hockey to the 2008 Women's Under-22 Select Team that will participate in both the USA Hockey Women's National Festival and the Under-22 Series in August. Bassett and McDonald will both be making their first appearances for Team USA.

The 2008 USA Hockey Women's National Festival will take place in Lake Placid, N.Y. starting August 12. The team will then depart for Pierrefonds, Que., on August 18 for the Under-22 Series, a three-game set against Canada from August 20-23.
Bassett registered three goals, including two on the power play, and three assists for Harvard in 2007-08 as a defenseman. She also finished the year with a +15 rating and was part of the nation's best scoring defense, which allowed only 34 goals in 34 contests.
McDonald, a forward, tallied seven goals and added eight assists in her sophomore season with Harvard. She scored one of the team's four short-handed goals, added a game-winner and was +17.
