Crimson Characters: Brenna McLean
The following article featuring Harvard forward Brenna McLean appeared April 2 on the Harvard Crimson Web site.
Editor's Note:
The feature story below, on hockey tri-captain
Brenna McLean,
is part of a year-long commitment to highlight Harvard's captains
and many other intriguing student-athletes.
Women's hockey senior tri-captain Brenna McLean appeared in 30
games this past season for Harvard. McLean and her teammates lost
to Wisconsin in the national semifinals, 4-1. The Crimson finished
its season with a 32-2 overall record and became just the second
team to finish the ECAC regular season with a 22-0-0 record. The
Crimson also won a record 21 straight games during the regular
season and into the postseason.
For McLean choosing Harvard was an easy decision to make.
"It was a winning combination between academics and being on a team
that is always contending to be the best in the nation. I also got
snowed in for an extra couple of days on my recruiting visit so I
thought that was a sign that I should be staying around here."
