The feeling gives Jennifer Botterill chills.
The woman Hockey Manitoba's Peter Woods calls the Wayne Gretzky of female hockey in the province joined fellow national team members and Manitobans Sami Jo Small of Winnipeg and Pilot Mound's Delaney Collins Saturday for the Female Atom Hockey Festival, involving 120 kids from all over Manitoba.
The trio spent more than an hour signing autographs and posing for pictures in the bowels of MTS Centre around lunch-time, a highlight of a full day featuring coaching sessions that included potential future Olympians such as Chelsea Karpenko, Bailey Bram, Laura Fridfinnson and Melanie Gagnon.
