Catching Up with Erica Dobos

HANOVER, N.H. — With the 2011-12 season already past the midway point, senior Erica Dobos (Bethel Park, Pa.) knows that her career is winding down in competitive hockey, but she understands that with only 11 games left in the regular season she has to leave everything on the ice.
But to get to a place where the forward only has a few games left, she had to start somewhere and that somewhere was in eastern Pennsylvania, looking to follow in her brother's footsteps.
"My uncle used to play hockey professionally, and that kind of got people in my family to start playing," Dobos said. "My brother started to play, and I did everything my brother did so I just started picking it up. Around probably the age of six or seven I began skating and then playing hockey in second grade."
