Hudak Joins USA Staff for National Festival
HANOVER, NH – Dartmouth women's hockey
head coach Mark Hudak was named an
assistant coach for the 2010 Women's National Festival, which will
take place in Lake Placid, N.Y., from Aug. 13-21.
The Festival will feature a 22-player squad that will train both
on and off the ice at the Olympic Center and Olympic Training
Center. Also participating in the Festival will be the 2010 U.S.
Women's Under-22 Select Team and the 2010 U.S. Women's Under-18
Select Team.
Harvard's Katey Stone will serve as the head coach for the
Festival team, with Hudak and Maura Crowell, head women's ice
hockey coach at the University of Massachusetts Boston, as
assistants. Hudak previously served as a coach at the 2006 USA
Hockey Women's National Festival, while Crowell will be making her
Festival debut after having previously assisted at Player
Development Camps.
Highlighting the roster for the Festival are 12 members of the
silver medal-winning 2010 U.S. Olympic Women's Ice Hockey Team,
including four-time Olympian Jenny Potter (Edina, Minn.) and
three-time Olympian Julie Chu (Fairfield, Conn.).
The veterans will be joined by Festival newcomers Kate Buesser
(Wolfeboro, N.H.), Leanna Coskren (Walpole, Mass.), Rachel Davis
(Horton, Mich.), Kristi Kehoe (Bakersfield, Calif.), Felicia Nelson
(St. Paul, Minn.) and Paula Romanchuk (San Jose, Calif.).
