A League of Their Own
The following article, which features former Dartmouth standout Julia Bronson and former St. Lawrence standout Carson Duggan, appeared February 24 on the Prague Post Web site.

Brian Burke, general manager of the Toronto Maple Leafs and head
of the 2010 U.S. Men's Olympic hockey team, once said, "Hockey is a
man's game. The team with the most real men wins."
While Burke is busy in Vancouver, he probably failed to notice
that HC Slavia Praha clinched the Czech Women's Extraliga
Championship with a 6-0 win over Kladno Feb. 21. And he clearly has
never met Slavia's trio of North American imports.
Julia Bronson, Carson Duggan and Stephanie Jones are the only
North American players in an otherwise predominantly Czech league.
Recruited while playing in college, the girls were brought in to
help boost the level of women's hockey in the Czech Republic.
