Team Notes: Big Green Welcome 2010 with Two-Game Slate at UConn

HANOVER, N.H. - The Dartmouth women's hockey team will welcome the new year with a two-game series at Connecticut, beginning this Saturday as the Big Green is set to face its fourth-straight Hockey East opponent.
POWER PLAY ATTACK TAMES CATS
The Dartmouth women's hockey team netted a season-high three power
play goals from three different scorers as the Big Green defeated
Vermont, 4-2, in a northern border battle on Wednesday. Senior
co-captain Sarah Parsons and junior Amanda Trunzo collected a goal
and an assist, while senior co-captain Jenna Cunningham posted two
helpers. Freshmen Camille Dumais and Sally Komarek tallied power
play goals. In net, senior Mariel Lacina got the win after pushing
aside 18 shots.
COMPETING AWAY FROM ECAC HOCKEY
Dartmouth faced its first non-conference team in Vermont in late
November and came away with a win against its Hockey East neighbor.
The Big Green will be dropping the puck against its fourth-straight
Hockey East opponent this weekend with Connecticut. Dartmouth is
2-1 against its eastern conference enemies.
