Cunningham Earns All-New England Recognition
HANOVER, N.H. -- Dartmouth junior Jenna Cunningham (Medicine
Hat, Alta.) was named to the New England Hockey Writers All-Star
Team for Division I women’s hockey, it was announced
Tuesday.
This is the second-straight year that Cunningham has been honored
by the New England Hockey Writers as she was named to the team in
2008.
Cunningham played in all of Dartmouth's contests and has
registered 13 goals and 22 assists for 33 points. She set a
career-high in assists and was named first team All-Ivy and ECAC
Hockey Second Team. Cunningham finished third on the team with 15
points on the power play with three goals and 12 assists.
She started the season on a five-game point streak with three
multi-point games and posted a season-high three points with a goal
and two assists against No. 4 Boston College. Cunningham repeated
with three points against Colgate with a goal and two assists on
Nov. 22. She netted a season-high two goals at Harvard on Jan. 6 in
a 3-0 win and recorded three assists against Rensselaer in a 8-4
win on Jan. 30.
Cunningham tied for the team-lead with three game-winning goals
and was third on the team in penalty minutes with 30 this season.
She posted a goal in both the semis and finals of the ECAC Hockey
Tournament and she was also named a nominee for the 2009 Patty
Kazmaier Award.
