HANOVER, N.H. -- Sophomore forward Jenna
Cunningham (Medicine Hat, Alta.) has been named to the New England
Hockey Writers Division I Women's All-Star team, which was
announced on Thursday.
The team will be presented at the New England Hockey Writers annual
banquet on Wednesday, April 16 at the Prince Restaurant in Saugus,
Mass. Cunningham is one of 12 skaters to be named to the team.
Cunningham led the Big Green in points for most of the season, but
finished second on the team with 37 points in 17 games played. Her
17 goals on the season were tops, along with her team-high six
power play goals and she was one of two players on the team to
record a hat trick this season. She concluded her second season
with 20 assists, which was three behind assist leader junior Maggie
Kennedy (West Hartford, Conn.). Cunningham's memorable performance
in the 2007-08 season was a six-point game against then
sixth-ranked Mercyhurst as she factored in each goal for the Big
Green with three goals and three assists in a 6-4 win.
In her two season with Dartmouth, Cunningham has amassed 59 points,
which is fourth most among active players and her 32 goals is tied
with Kennedy for the most by an active player.
