Parsons Earns Spot on U.S. Under-22 Team

LAKE PLACID, N.Y. - Dartmouth sophomore Sarah Parsons (Dover, Mass.) earned a spot on the U.S. Under-22 Select Team and will be making her fourth appearance in the Under-22 Series against Canada. The team was selected following the 2007 USA Hockey Women's National Festival at the Olympic Center. Parsons is one of three League student-athletes named.

Parsons played in three games at the Women's National Festival and tallied two assists during the eight-day Festival.

The Festival had 67 participating players, consisting of 27 players trying out for the Under-22 Select Team, members of the Under-18 Select Team and 18 invites for the U.S. National Team. Alana BreMiller '05, who was competing for a spot on the U.S. National Team, scored a goal and added an assist in her three games.

The Select Team will be opening its three-game series against Canada on Thursday, August 23, beginning at 7 p.m. at the Herb Brooks Arena at the Olympic Center.
