Future Bright for Big Red

ITHACA -- For a team that just won the ECAC Hockey and Ivy League titles for a second straight season, became the only squad from last year's field to return to the Women's Frozen Four and set a Cornell record for wins in a season for a hockey team, this sure is a somber time for the Big Red women's team.
After all, it's hard to celebrate a season full of accomplishments when the most recent memory is so vividly sour.
A near flawless regular season provided a crescendo that set the stage for perhaps the first Ivy League women's hockey title, only to end in the inharmonious thud of a 4-1 loss to Boston University in a national semifinal last Friday.
