Co-Ed Scrimmage Benefits Cornell Charity

ITHACA -- It was an idea that just sort of came to Cornell men'shockey coach Mike Schafer.
In the past, the Cornell hockey program's annual "Red-White" game has featured just the men's team. And splitting the team in two results in two fairly small teams that can get pretty tired by the end of the game.
"I was out on a run with one of my assistant coaches, and we were talking about how to give ourselves the necessary rest but at the same time, keep it interesting for the fans," he said.
