Cornell Savors Second Chance at Frozen Four

ITHACA -- On the day Cornell boarded a bus bound for the Women's Frozen Four in Erie, Pa., Big Red goalie Amanda Mazzotta described the national championship weekend as a once-in-a-lifetime experience that she and most of her teammates have been lucky enough to experience twice.
Of the 13 players on Cornell's roster who fit into that category, the one who probably values the trip most was sitting immediately to Mazzotta's left -- senior winger Hayley Hughes.
After missing half of her sophomore season battling injuries, Hughes was with the team as a junior as it ascended from the middle of the pack in ECAC Hockey to advance to the national championship game.
