ITHACA -- Tinkering with a winning lineup is a little like playing with fire, so Amanda Mazzotta's re-emergence shows just how highly regarded she is.
Out for three months with a leg injury, the Cornell women's hockey team's incumbent starting goalie returned to game action Thursday in the pressure cooker of an ECAC Hockey Championship semifinal against Quinnipiac.
The decision couldn't have been easy for coach Doug Derraugh, who watched freshman Lauren Slebodnick post a 12-1-1 record with five shutouts through January and February in Mazzotta's absence.
