Cornell Takes Advantage of Lead Time

While most hockey teams look at the third period as crunch time, the Cornell women's team has done well not to treat the final 20 minutes like nap time in recent weeks.
The Big Red has led by at least three goals heading into the third period in six of its last seven games, meaning that any semblance of effort would probably secure the same winning result as a well played, by-the-book performance.
Furthermore, there's that matter of sportsmanship -- not wanting to run up the score on teams with superfluous goals in the waning minutes.
