Cornell Ready for Title Fight

The women’s hockey team concludes its regular season at home
this weekend with the possibility of making history. The Red
(13-8-6, 12-2-6 ECAC), currently sitting tied with Clarkson
(20-8-4, 14-4-2 ECAC) atop the ECAC standings, is looking to win
the ECAC regular season title for the first time in history.
Depending on how the Golden Knights finish the weekend, RPI
tomorrow night and Union on Saturday afternoon are all that stand
in the Red’s way.
The Red picked up three points on the Golden Knights last weekend
to move into a dead heat for the ECAC crown and therefore home ice
throughout the ECAC playoffs. From an outside perspective, the
pressure appears to be on the Golden Knights, whose title it would
be to lose. After going 1-3-1 in their last five games, the Golden
Knights need to right the ship before it is too late. Still, the
Red is solely concerned with what it has the ability to control.
