ITHACA — If the Cornell women's hockey team wants to host
a postseason game for the first time in 18 years, it will need to
drum up some points this weekend's games at Lynah Rink — and
the formidability of the opposition surely makes that a
challenge.
Harvard (13-8-3, 12-4-2 ECAC Hockey) and No. 8 Dartmouth (16-6-2,
13-3-2) roll into town this weekend for games at 7 p.m. today and 4
p.m. Saturday, respectively. Combined, the two programs hold a
82-37-7 series record against the Big Red.
"I don't really know what makes them so much better than everybody
else, except for a hard forecheck and they're really disciplined,"
Cornell defenseman Amanda Young said. "Other than that, I think
you've just got to take it like every other team."
