ITHACA - A mother just always seems to know.
When freshman defenseman Jacob Johnston learned Thursday night he would be making his Big Red debut the following night, Colleen Johnston planned a last-minute trip to Ithaca.
"I said, ‘You don't have to come down,' but she decided to come down and actually stayed until Sunday," Jacob said. "She got back at like 3 or 4 in the morning Monday, then had to go to work. She was pretty excited for me."
