HAMILTON, NY - Evan Minnick graduated from Colgate in 2010 and is currently playing hockey for the ESC Planegg in Munich, Germany. She finished the season with 34 points from 13 goals and 21 assists helping her team to third place in the Elite Women's Hockey League (EWHL). Evan was ranked 10th in the league in points and was also named to the EWHL All-Star team. A forward from Highlands Ranch, Colorado, Evan majored in sociology at Colgate with a minor in geography.

When her final season at Colgate ended in 2010, Evan knew she wasn't ready to stop playing hockey competitively and looked to continue her career in Europe. She knew former teammates, Sam Hunt and Kiira Dosdall, both had great experiences playing abroad and decided to contact teams towards the end of her senior year. Evan looked at teams in Finland and Switzerland, but received the most interest from the team she currently plays for, the ESC Planegg.

Evan left for Munich in August and arrived just in time for the team's first tournament. Luckily, most of her teammates spoke English so she was able to make the quick adjustment. Since then, Evan has developed her own game-day routine which includes pre-game meals with her roommates or with her team if they are on the road then the usual stick-taping and off-ice warm up once they arrive at the rink.
