Colgate Alums Excelling in Europe
HAMILTON, N.Y. – Former Colgate
women's hockey standouts Sam Hunt, Kiira
Dosdalland Evan Minnick were recently named to the Elite
Women's Hockey League (EWHL) All-Star team in Europe.
Hunt, a 2009 graduate who plays for the EHV Vienna Sabres, helped
lead her team to the 2010-11 regular season and championship
titles. She led the Sabres and the league in scoring with 41 goals
and 26 assists for a league-high 67 points while Dosdall, her
teammate and fellow 2009 Colgate graduate, was third in the league
with 34 points from 13 goals and 21 assists.
Minnick, who plays for the ESC Planneg in Munich, Germany, helped
lead her team to the bronze medal. The 2010 graduate finished 10th
in the league with 24 points from 11 goals and 13 assists.
Kate Wolgemunth, who graduated in 2008 graduate, also plays in
Europe for a team in the Czech Republic.
