Raider Chat with Amanda Kirwan
The following article featuring Colgate forward Amanda Kirwan appeared September 9 on the Colgate Web site.
Colgate University women's hockey senior, Amanda
Kirwan, was able to take time from her busy schedule to
answer a series of questions that would help fans and the Colgate
family know more about her off the ice.
Last season Kirwan played in all 33 games and started in 13,
finishing the season fourth on the team with 18 points from three
goals and 15 assists. She also had five two-point games.
On what made her choose to play ice hockey and when she started
playing … “I do not mean to sound
cliché when I say this, but yes my older brother was the
reason why I started playing hockey. As most annoying little
sisters, I wanted to do all the things my older brother was doing
and picked up hockey a year after he started. I started playing
when I was seven years old.”
