Team Notes: Colgate Looks to Gain Ground

HAMILTON, N.Y. -- The Colgate University women’s hockey
team will play a home-and-home series with travel partner Cornell
University on Jan. 10-11. The teams will begin the series at Lynah
Rink on Saturday at 3 p.m., and will finish at Starr Rink on Sunday
at 3 p.m.
Colgate leads the all-time series, 9-3-2 after the teams split
last season’s series. For Cornell it was the first win over
Colgate since March 2, 2002.
The Raiders are tied for eighth in ECAC Hockey with 2-4-2 record
and are 8-9-2 overall after a 3-1 loss to then-No. 7 Boston
College. Leading the Raiders up front is senior Sam Hunt (Calgary,
Alta.) with 16 points. Hunt has seven goals and nine assists.
Junior Marissa Dombovy (Webster, N.Y.) has 15, followed by senior
Elin Brown (Calgary, Alta.) with 14, while sophomore Hannah Milan
(Great Barrington, Mass.) and junior Evan Minnick (Highlands Ranch,
Colo.) each have 13. Minnick leads the team in goals with eight
while Hunt, Milan and junior Katie Stewart (Exeter, Ont.) each have
seven. Senior Kiira Dosdall (Fairfield, Conn.) leads in assists
with 14. Dosdall headlines the defenders with a team-high 18 points
off four goals and 14 assists while senior Clancy Todd (Thorold,
Ont.) has nine and freshman Kristi-Lyn Pollock (Virden, Man.)
three.
